As of today, March 17th, some of our Bay Area and Los Angeles locations remain open and we are taking these precautions:
We have taken our cleaning and personal hygiene procedures to the next level with the disinfection of any surface that has been touched. This is in addition to our rigorous regular cleaning routine.
We are doing temperature checks and emphasizing our directive to stay home if there is any evidence of exposure. This is already a standard operating procedure for our company, but it is being amplified. To support this, MIXT provides paid sick leave to all employees accruing from day one of employment. It has been a core belief since the founding of MIXT, that our team members be compensated for time taken to get well or care for loved ones.
We are ready to assist each team member who needs access to health care in the event of illness. In line with our core beliefs, MIXT sponsors health insurance and One Medical benefits for all employees. Over 70% of our team members elected health insurance coverage through our plan which gives them access to the Aetna network.
Last week, we paused the use of refillable beverage and food containers in our restaurants and temporarily removed self-service condiment and utensil stations. This week, we have shifted service to focus on touch-free pick up and delivery only.
To make dining in private easier, we waived all delivery fees for orders over $40 in our delivery zone. We also offer touch-free pick-up on orders placed via mixt.com or delivery via UberEats, Caviar, and Postmates. All pick up and delivery orders will have a MIXT seal applied to the bag as a final step in our process to ensure you are the first to open it.
Additionally, we want to be a resource for our community and for those who are in need. We don’t have a great way to implement this, nor do we know how long we will be able to do this, but the one thing we know is that we need to pull together as a community and help one another.
