A Day at the Market

mixt-pomegranate

Like many Californians, we love a good farmers market. The closest market to the San Francisco HQ office is just outside the Ferry Building.

It’s organized by a group called CUESA (Center for Urban Education about Sustainable Agriculture). They were founded in 1994 to educate urban consumers about sustainable agriculture and to create dialogue between farmers and urbanites.

Our team took a trip over to the CUESA Farmers Market to take a look at seasonal produce. We found a lot of delicious things including butternut squash, pears, pomegranate, brussels sprouts, red kuri, potatoes, and cauliflower.

Not only is it a good way to learn about what’s in season and support your local farms, it’s a great way to spend times with family and friends. You’re guaranteed to go home with something fresh and tasty.
